Specifies design, materials, manufacture and testing. Gives maximum operating conditions for Grade A-shell 0.7 N/mm2 (7.0 bar) and 120°C, tube battery 1.75 N/mm2 (17.5 bar) and 300°C and also Grade B-shell 0.45 N/mm2 (4.5 bar) and 90°C, tube battery shell 0.45 N/mm2 (4.5 bar) and 300°C. Covers carbon steel and copper and gives corrosion protection for carbon steel shells.
