Abstract - (Show below) - (Hide below)

Provides recommendations for the planning, construction and facilities of manned and unmanned remote centres, and for the operation of alarm receiving centres (ARCs), receiving signals from alarm systems, e.g. fire, social, closed circuit television (CCTV), lone worker and vehicle tracking.

Scope - (Show below) - (Hide below)

This British Standard gives recommendations for the planning, construction and facilities of manned and unmanned remote centres, and for the operation of alarm receiving centres (ARCs), receiving signals from alarm systems, e.g. fire, social, closed circuit television (CCTV), lone worker and vehicle tracking. This British Standard excludes receiving signals from intruder and hold-up alarm systems (I&HAS). NOTE See BSEN50518 series for the monitoring of I&HAS.
