with semiconductor devices
Appendix B Survey on information to be supplied by the
manufacturer in his literature (catalogue)
for a fuse designed for the protection of
semiconductor devices
National appendix Z Dimensions of semiconductor fuse-
links in common use in the UK
The purpose of the supplementary requirements is to establish the characteristics of semiconductor fuse-links in such a way to allow replacement by other fuse-links having the same characteristics, as long as their dimensions are identical. The supplementary requirements apply to fuse-links to be used in equipment containing semiconductor devices for circuits of 1000 V a.c. rated voltages, or circuits of 1500 V d.c maximum nominal voltages and also, as far as they can be applied, for circuits of higher nominal voltages. Also covers: the characteristics of fuses (including rated values, breaking capacity and power dissipation); the markings on fuses; availability and presentation of technical data and type tests for verification of the characteristics of fuses.
