Performance requirements and testing. Applies to passenger compartment doors and luggage compartment or hatchback doors, and includes electrical locking systems.

This Part of BS AU 209 specifies requirements for the performance of locking systems fitted to passenger compartment doors and luggage compartment or hatchbacks doors of passenger cars and car derived vehicles.

This Part of BS AU 209 does not apply to engine compartment locking systems.
