Lays down requirements for automatic roller-type couplings for semi-trailers with a laden weight not exceeding 7-1/4 tons having a maximum imposed operating weight on the rollers of 2-3/4 tons. Rollers should be plated for a maximum design imposed weight of 3 tons to provide a loading tolerance.
