ELECTRICAL APPARATUS & ASSOCIATED EQUIPMENT FOR USE IN EXPLOSIVE ATMOSPHERES OF GAS OR VAPOUR OTHER THAN MINING APPLICATIONS - CHOICE, INSTALL & MAINTENANCE OF FLAMEPROOF & INTRINSICALLY SAFE EQ
15-12-1993
23-11-2012
Gives guidance in the selection, installation and maintenance, for industries other than coal mining, of flameproof or intrinsically-safe electrical equipment, including telecommunication equipment, for the avoidance of risk, arising therefrom, of ignition of gas, vapour, or liquid. Precautions which, may be necessary to take against the effects of static electricity are outside the scope of this Code. Covers definitions, considerations affecting choice, use and installation, materials, appliance and components, work on site, testing, inspection and some operational hazards.
