Abstract - (Show below) - (Hide below)

Defines the method of measurement of the coercivity of magnetic materials in an open magnetic circuit.

Scope - (Show below) - (Hide below)

This European Standard specifies the method of measurement of the coercivity of magnetic materials in an open magnetic circuit. It applies to magnetic materials having a coercivity up to 500kA/m. Special precautions to take in measuring coercivities below 40A/m and above 160kA/m are given in AnnexA.
