    Gives a method for determining the consistency of bitumen and bituminous binders.

    This European Standard specifies a method for determining the consistency of bitumen and bituminous binders. Normal procedure is described for penetrations up to (330×0,1)mm, but for penetrations above this value, up to (500×0,1)mm, different operating parameters are necessary. WARNING— Use of this European Standard may involve hazardous materials, operations and equipment.
