Specifies a method of measuring the performance of optical contacts in an optical connection element (including permanent connections) when subjected to tensile stress throughout the operating temperature range. This test is not applicable to spring loaded elements.

This standard specifies a method of measuring the performance of optical contacts in an optical connection element (including permanent connections) when subjected to tensile stress throughout the operating temperature range. This test shall not be applied to spring loaded elements. It shall be used together with EN 2591-100.
