This part of ISO1167 specifies the procedure for the preparation of components, i.e. fittings and valve bodies, for the determination of their resistance to internal hydrostatic pressure according to ISO1167-1.
NOTE Polyolefin fittings for butt fusion, electrofusion and socket fusion are usually tested as an assembly and are treated in ISO1167-4.
