This European Standard specifies a method for the determination of ochratoxin A (OTA) at levels greater than 3μg/kg.

The method has been successfully validated in interlaboratory studies according to ISO5725:1986 [1] on whole barley containing 2,9μg/kg, 3,0μg/kg, 7,4μg/kg and 14,4μg/kg of ochratoxin A, on whole maize containing 8,2μg/kg and 16,3μg/kg of ochratoxin A as well as on wheat bran containing 3,8μg/kg and 4,5μg/kg of ochratoxin A.

NOTE: Numerous laboratory experiences have shown that this method is also applicable to wheat flour.
