Non-destructive methods which may not be applicable to auto-catalytic nickel coatings, depending on their chemical composition. Magnetic attraction method applicable up to 50 μm coating thickness on magnetic substrates or up to 25 μm on non-magnetic substrates. Reluctance method applicable to thicknesses of up to about 1 mm.
