    This International Standard specifies the characteristics of prevailing torque type all-metal hexagon high nuts, with threads from M5 up to and including M36, in product gradeA for threads up to and including M16 and product gradeB for threads above M16, and with property classes 5, 8, 10 and 12.

    NOTE1 The dimensions of the nuts with the exception of the dimensions mw and hmax correspond to those given in ISO4033.

    NOTE2 Nuts of property class 9 are dealt with in ISO7720.

    If other specifications are required, they can be selected from existing International Standards, for example ISO261, ISO724, ISO898-2, ISO965-2, ISO2320 and ISO4759-1.
