Gives the general requirements for proximity switches used in nominal 28V d.c. or 115/200V, 400 Hz a.c. systems in aircraft. Deals with switches used in unprotected positions on aircraft and switches for less arduous environmental conditions. Includes fluid contamination tests, serviceability tests and class 2 switches for less arduous environment. Illustrates typical test circuit for short circuit test and sequence of groups of tests for quality assurance.
