Aims to facilitate international communication in data processing. Presents, in two languages, terms and definitions of concepts relevant to data processing and identifies relationships between entries. To facilitate translation into other languages, definitions are drafted so as to avoid any peculiarity attached to a language. The vocabulary covers main areas of data processing, including principal processes and types of equipment used, representation, organization and presentation of data, programming and operation of computers, input-output devices and peripheral equipment, as well as particular applications.
