This part of ISO 7967 defines terms relating to starting systems for reciprocating internal combustion engines. A diagram showing the relationship between the various types of starting system is given in Figure 1. ISO 2710 gives a classification of reciprocating internal combustion engines and defines basic terms of such engines and their characteristics. Figure 1 Starting system relationships
