Defines a method to assess small volumes of material in cargo tanks of marine tanker vessels prior to loading (OBQ) or upon completion on discharge (ROB) by manual gauging. Does not apply to estimation of hydrocarbon vapours, clinage or the contents of associated pumps or pipelines.
