This British Standard specifies requirements for paint remover able to selectively remove the finish or finish and intermediate coating of a defined paint scheme. The paint remover is intended for brush or spray application to paint schemes including an intermediate coating conforming to BS X 35, on metallic and non-metallic surfaces for aerospace purposes.

NOTE. This British Standard does not apply to paint remover intended to be used on paint schemes that do not include an intermediate coat.

Annex A gives information on application for type approval.
