Scope This Standard applies to optical fiber cable and communication cable raceway systems designed for use with optical fiber and communication cables and intended to be installed in accordance with the Canadian Electrical Code, Part I. Notes: (1) Raceway systems rated FT6 may be substituted for raceway systems rated FT4 or FT1. Raceway systems rated FT4 may be substituted for raceway systems rated FT1. (2) Flame spread requirements for particular applications are governed by the applicable provincial or municipal building codes. For general guidance, see Rule 2-128, Appendices B and G of the Canadian Electrical Code, Part I.
