A Withdrawn Standard is one, which is removed from sale, and its unique number can no longer be used. The Standard can be withdrawn and not replaced, or it can be withdrawn and replaced by a Standard with a different number.
International Standard CEI/IEC 342-1:1981 (second edition) forms the basis for CSA Standard CAN/CSA-E342-1-95, which has been approved as a National Standard of Canada by the Standards Council of Canada.
