Applies to circular connectors for telecommunication, electronic and electrical equipment. To be used in conjunction with basic specification, IEC 512: Electromechanical components for electronic equipment, basic testing procedures and measuring methods, and the relevant Detail Specification (DS). Connectors designed for use at frequencies exceeding 3 MHz are excluded. Aims to establish uniform specification, method and type test requirements for circular connectors and to establish rules for preparation of DS.
