This standard, which conforms to the CENELEC Harmonization Document HD 348 S4, contextual, with minor modifications, to IEC Publication 56 (1987), applies to alternating current circuit breakers, designed for outdoor or indoor installation and for operation at a frequency not exceeding 60 Hz in systems with a voltage exceeding 1,000 V.
