A Withdrawn Standard is one, which is removed from sale, and its unique number can no longer be used. The Standard can be withdrawn and not replaced, or it can be withdrawn and replaced by a Standard with a different number.

La guida riguarda la sicurezza degli apparecchi per uso estetico il cui normale utilizzo, da parte di un operatore estetico, prevede una o più parti applicate al soggetto da trattare e che entra/entrano in contatto fisico o elettrico con soggetto trattato e/o trasferisce/trasferiscono energia verso o dal soggetto trattato. Scopo della guida è quello di specificare prescrizioni generali per la sicurezza degli apparecchi elettrici per uso estetico e di servire da base per le prescrizioni di sicurezza di guide particolari.
