This Standard applies to fixed or mobile transformers, single-phase or polyphase, air-cooled separation transformers, autotransformers, variable transformers and small ballasts, associated or not, having a primary voltage rating not exceeding 1000 V AC, a frequency rating not exceeding 500 Hz, a secondary no-load or load voltage not exceeding 15 kV AC or DC and a power rating of 1 kVA to 5 kVA for transformers and from 2 kVAR to 10 kVAR for reactors, depending on the type considered (single-phase or polyphase).
