This Standard applies to hand-held power tools defined as motor-operated, battery-powered or magnetically driven appliances designed to carry out mechanical work and designed so that the motor forms with the appliance itself a whole that can be easily carried with its battery or battery pack, to the place of use and which is held in the hand or suspended during use.
