The standard applies to screw and screwless clamping units for connection devices, either as separate entities or as integral parts of the apparatus, for the connection of rigid (solid or stranded) and/or flexible copper electrical conductors, with a cross-section from 0.5 mm2 up to and including 35 mm2, with a rated voltage not exceeding 1000 V AC, with a frequency up to and including 1000 Hz, and at 1500 V DC.
