This Standard specifies the general safety requirements for electrical equipment intended for professional, industrial and educational uses, also including apparatus and calculation devices for: - measurement and tests; -regulation; - use of the laboratory; - accessories intended for use with the above (e.g. sample manipulators) This Part 1 of the Standard applies to equipment defined as: a) electrical measurement and test equipment; b) electrical regulation equipment; c) electrical laboratory equipment.
