The CEI EN IEC 60071-12 standard applies the guidelines on procedures for the coordination of the insulation of line-switched converter (LCC) stations for high-voltage direct current (HVDC) projects, the purpose of which is to evaluate the overvoltage stresses on converter station equipment subjected to the combination of DC/AC power with harmonic and impulse voltages, and determine withstand voltages for equipment.
