This Standard defines the requirements for two-pole connectors, including those in which there is an earth contact, intended to be incorporated or integrated into appliances or other electrical devices built in several parts and used in domestic and similar environments, powered only by alternating current at 50 Hz or 60 Hz with a nominal voltage not exceeding 250V and a nominal current not exceeding 16 A.
