The aim of this Standard is to examine the plugs of single-mode fiber optic connectors, with physical contact (PC) of a fiber optic link or half-link, in terms of reflection attenuation, thus ensuring a minimum value of this parameter when the connector plugs are randomly mated with each other in the field.
