The Report sets out the concept of safety integrity level (SIL) through the provision of: - a methodology to derive the safety process, described in CEI EN 50126 and based on the application of SIL up to the elementary level in a structured and coherent way; - a proposal to find a correspondence between SIL and dangerous failure rate.
