This Technical Specification (TS) constitutes an extension of the regulatory series “Electricity metering systems - Communication with user devices” relating to the “Second generation electricity meters” project that the Italian Regulatory Authority for Electricity, Gas and Water (AEEGSI) has entrusted to the CEI, and takes into consideration the Narrow-Band IoT (NB-IoT) technology as an alternative to those defined so far (CEI TS 13-84 and CEI TS 13-85) of the PLC and the 169 MHz wireless channel.
