ThisdocumentiswritteninpreparationoffuturestandardizationandprovidesguidanceontheimpactoftheinjectionofH2intothegasinfrastructurefromtheinputofgasintotheonshoretransmissionnetworkuptotheinletconnectionofgasappliances.Furthermore,itidentifiestheexpectedrevisionneedoftheexistingCEN/TC243standardsaswellastheneedoffurthernewstandardisationdeliverables.ItexaminestheeffectsoneachpartofthegasinfrastructureinthescopeoftheCEN/TC234WorkingGroups1to12inclusive,basedonavailablestudies,reportsandresearch.Duetoseverallimitationsatdifferenthydrogenconcentrations,theimpactsarespecified.Forsomespecificimpact,prestandardizationresearchisneeded.Byconvention,forthistechnicalreport,theinjectionofpurehydrogen,i.e.withouttracecomponentsisconsidered.TheinformationfromthisreportisintendedtodefinetheCEN/TC234workprogramforthecoverageofH2NGinrelationtothescopeoftheCEN/TC234anditsWGs.NOTE Progressonhydrogenwilldevelopovertime.InprinciplethiswillbereflectedinthestandardisationprocessinCEN/TC234.
