A Withdrawn Standard is one, which is removed from sale, and its unique number can no longer be used. The Standard can be withdrawn and not replaced, or it can be withdrawn and replaced by a Standard with a different number.

Radiographic inspection instructions are normally provided by the manufacturer of the aircraft or component as part of their scheduled manual for overhaul, maintenance or inspection, or as part of an Alert Service Bulletin, Airworthiness Directive, Service Letter, Service Bulletin or other similar document. When these instructions are provided they have priority over this standard. If these instructions do not exist, this standard is applicable.
