Preface This is the harmonized CSA Group and UL standard for Molded-Case Circuit Breakers, Molded-Case Switches, and Circuit-Breaker Enclosures for Use with Photovoltaic (PV) Systems . It is the First edition of CSA C22.2 No. 305 and the First edition of UL 489B. This Standard has been developed in compliance with Standards Council of Canada requirements for National Standards of Canada. It has been published as a National Standard of Canada by CSA Group. Scope 1.1 These requirements cover molded-case circuit breakers, molded-case switches, and circuit-breaker enclosures rated up to 1500 V dc, intended for use with photovoltaic (PV) systems and Ref. No. 1 of Annex B. 1.2 These requirements are intended to be used in conjunction with the requirements in Ref. No. 2 of Annex B, except as modified or supplemented by this Standard. 1.3 These requirements do not cover molded-case circuit breakers or molded-case switches intended for use in battery circuits.
