compressors classified as tested with annex AA
Annex BB (informative) Bibliography
Annex C (normative) Ageing test on motors
Annex D (normative) Alternative requirements for
protected motor units
Covers the safety of sealed - hermetic and semi-hermetic type motor compressors as well as their protection and control systems, which are used in household and similar purpose equipment and conform with standards which apply to that equipment. Deals with motor compressors tested separately under severe conditions that could take place during normal use, with rated voltages of 250 V or less for single-phase and 480 V for others.
