CSA Preface This is the second edition of CSA ISO 14024, Environmental labels and declarations — Type I environmental labelling — Principles and procedures , which is an adoption without modification of the identically titled ISO (International Organization for Standardization) Standard 14024 (second edition, 2018-02). It supersedes the previous edition, published in 1999 as CSA ISO 14024 (adopted ISO 14024:1999). This Standard has been developed in compliance with Standards Council of Canada requirements for National Standards of Canada. It has been published as a National Standard of Canada by CSA Group. Scope This document establishes the principles and procedures for developing Type I environmental labelling programmes, including the selection of product categories, product environmental criteria and product function characteristics, and for assessing and demonstrating compliance. This document also establishes the certification procedures for awarding the label.
