Abstract - (Show below) - (Hide below)

CSA Preface This is the first edition of CAN/CSA-ISO 16948, Solid biofuels — Determination of total content of carbon, hydrogen and nitrogen , which is an adoption without modification of the identically titled ISO (International Organization for Standardization) Standard 16948 (first edition, 2015-05-15). This Standard is one of many Standards developed by ISO/TC 238 on Solid Biofuels that are being adopted by CSA Group. Instrumental methods for the analysis of carbon, hydrogen, and nitrogen are now in widespread and in regular use, often in preference to formerly developed chemical methods for which International Standards exist. This Standard describes a method for the determination of total carbon, hydrogen, and nitrogen contents in solid biofuels. This Standard has been developed in compliance with Standards Council of Canada requirements for National Standards of Canada. It has been published as a National Standard of Canada by CSA Group. Scope This International Standard describes a method for the determination of total carbon, hydrogen and nitrogen contents in solid biofuels.
