CSA Preface This is the first edition of CAN/CSA-ISO 50006, Energy management systems - Measuring energy performance using energy baselines (EnB) and energy performance indicators (EnPI) - General principles and guidance , which is an adoption without modification of the identically titled ISO (International Organization for Standardization) Standard 50006 (first edition, 2014-12-15). This International Standard provides guidance to organizations on how to establish, use, and maintain energy performance indicators (EnPIs) and energy baselines (EnBs) as part of the process of measuring energy performance. The guidance in this International Standard is applicable to any organization, regardless of its size, type, location, or level of maturity in the field of energy management. This Standard has been developed in compliance with Standards Council of Canada requirements for National Standards of Canada. It has been published as a National Standard of Canada by CSA Group. Scope This International Standard provides guidance to organizations on how to establish, use and maintain energy performance indicators (EnPIs) and energy baselines (EnBs) as part of the process of measuring energy performance.
