CSA Preface This is the first edition of CAN/CSA-ISO/IEC 13273-2, Energy efficiency and renewable energy sources - Common international terminology - Part 2: Renewable energy sources , which is an adoption without modification of the identically titled ISO/IEC (International Organization for Standardization/International Electrotechnical Commission) Standard 13273-2 (first edition, 2015-06-01). This part of ISO/IEC 13273 contains transversal concepts and their definitions in the subject field of renewable energy sources. This horizontal standard is primarily intended for use by technical committees in the preparation of standards in accordance with the principles laid down in IEC Guide 108. The contents of this horizontal standard will not apply unless specifically referred to or included in the relevant publications. This Standard has been developed in compliance with Standards Council of Canada requirements for National Standards of Canada. It has been published as a National Standard of Canada by CSA Group. Scope This part of ISO/IEC 13273 contains transversal concepts and their definitions in the subject field of renewable energy sources. This horizontal standard is primarily intended for use by technical committees in the preparation of standards in accordance with the principles laid down in IEC Guide 108. One of the responsibilities of a technical committee is, wherever applicable, to make use of horizontal standards in the preparation of its publications.
