Applies to woodlots and small forests up to 4000 hectares that have a management plan; these are termed 'defined woodlots'. Also provides sustainable forest management requirements for: (a) a defined woodlot consisting of one or more contiguous, legally described lots under the same ownership and management plan; (b) a defined woodlot consisting of non-contiguous, legally described lots under the same ownership but having separate management plans, or if they total less than 4000 hectares, grouped under a single management plan; or (c) individual defined woodlots, each less than 4000 hectares, that have separate management plans but are grouped together for the purpose of certification.
