Table 1 - Sequence of tests and test loads
Gives mechanical and structural safety requirements for all types of domestic seating for adults including adjustable and folding seating. Applicable to seating that can be converted into beds, only when in the seating configuration. Durability requirements for castors, reclining and tilting mechanisms, seat height adjustment mechanisms, e.g. gas cylinders, requirements for ageing and degradation are not included in this. Does not apply to outdoor seating.
