Sets out requirements that apply to all contracts, for the calibration of Test & Measurement Equipment (TME) items. It applies for TME sent to a contractor for repair/calibration after repair, calibration and to when the contractor is required to travel to the TME to conduct the work. It also applies to those contracts, which include a mixture of TME, and other equipment such as parts of a main system; in such contracts it is important that the requirements for the TME element are properly brought out.
DevelopmentNote |
Supersedes DEFSTAN 05-55/3(1988) (10/2006) This standard is obsolescent because it is no longer required for procurement of new equipment but is retained for maintenance purposes in support of existing in-service equipment. (05/2016)
