Specifies the minimum requirements for the qualification approval of ribbon cable in the 125 Degrees C and 150 Degrees C temperature categories which are suitable for operational voltages of 250 V rms or 600 V rms at 2000 Hz. The cables shall be unshielded with silver plated copper conductors, stranded tin plated or high strength copper alloy silver plated conductors. The cable will be of laminated, bonded, extruded or woven construction with 1.27 mm conductor spacing compatible with insulation displacement connectors (IDC); termination will not be restricted to the IDC type. The types of cable will include limited fire hazard (LFH) variants. The materials used for cable construction will give a service life of over 40,000 hours at an 85 Degrees C continuous conductor temperature.
