Abstract - (Show below) - (Hide below)

Defines material and performance requirements for heat treatable aluminium, weldable aluminium-zinc-magnesium alloy armour in the form of rolled homogeneous plate of nominal thickness 6 to 120 mm for the protection of crew and mechanism of armoured fighting vehicles against attack. It includes a requirement for suppliers to validate their proposed material production route and for the assessment of product quality by ballistic and other tests of pre-production or prototype material.
