    Die C-Festkupplung nach dieser Norm wird auf Armaturen und Stutzen aufgeschraubt. Sie dient zum Anschluss von C-Saug- und C-Blindkupplungen. Anmerkung: Soll für besondere Anforderungen (z. B. Öleinsatz, aggressive Atmosphäre oder Flüssigkeiten) eine C-Festkupplung nach DIN 86204 (aus Kupfer-Zink-Legierung nach DIN 17673 Teil 1) oder eine C-Festkupplung aus nichtrostendem Stahlguss nach DIN 17445 geliefert werden, ist dies zu vereinbaren. Dabei ist zu beachten, dass zum Einbau des Dichtringes DIN 14321-4-S das Knaggenteil DIN 86204-1 nach Einzelheit V und Schnitt D-E des Knaggenteils DIN 14307-1-S auszuführen ist.
