Covers pipe bends of polypropylene (PP) type 1 (PP homopolymer) and type 2 (PP copolymer) which are formed from PP pipe in accordance with DIN 8077 and butt-welded with heating elements in accordance with DIN 1910 Pt 3 or DVS 2207 to PP pipes in accordance with DIN 8077. Pipe bends must conform to the requirements of DIN 16 962 Pt 5. Pipe bends may only be welded to pipes of the same series in accordance with DIN 8077. Deviation from this requirement is allowed if the wall thicknesses are equal in the welding zone.
