The adjustable non-load-bearing spring hinge closes the door by using the energy stored in a coil spring when the door is opened. Either the loops of the spring hinge are welded to the frame and to the door or the lower part of the loop is welded to the frame with the upper part of the loop merely resting on the door leaf.
