Applies to the functional requirements on traps and drainage devices with traps either built in, moulded on or attached for use in drainage systems for buildings and plots of land (e.g. in accordance with DIN 19545, DIN 19599, DIN 1390 Part 2). It also applies to traps formed by the residual water level in a pump, but not to mechanical traps.
