7 Presentation of pipe standards
Specifies general requirements for prefabricated pipes and fittings for use in drainage pipework inside buildings (see DIN 19543). It is to be used as a basis for the preparation and revision of standards specifying dimensions and delivery conditions, for standards dealing with pipelaying and other relevant codes of practice. The specifications have been established, assuming normal service conditions (see DIN 1986 Part 3); further requirements may have to be specified for specific applications. For general requirements for pipes and fittings for buried drains and sewers, see DIN 19550.*)
